An 82-year-old woman names Bilkis who is from shaheen bagh is among the 100 most influential people of the year as per time magazine. She took part in the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

82-year-old Bilkis among the Most influential people of the year

82-year-old Bilkis has been considered as the most influential person of the year. She was unused in the list of 100 most influential people of the year by times magazine.

She was protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in the shaheen bagh. She protested in the cold winter month of December against the Act which will block Muslims of the country from Citizenship.

She was protesting against the act with other women surrounding her. She was sitting in the crowd holding the national flag in one hand and prayer beads in the hand said Journalist Rana Ayyub.

She said that she will protest until the blood stops flowing Her veins. She further said that she will protest for the children of the country so that there are justice and equality.

She was included in the 100 most influential people so that everyone remembers her dedication and efforts. Despite her age, she sat there to protest and was there to support other women who were also protesting in the shaheen bagh.

She said that she has been protesting for One month and seven days along with other women and will continue to protest. She said that she wants independence. She holds candles in her hand along with other women who were holding it too.
