The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi declared on Tuesday that the entire nation will be lockdown for 21 days.

Following this order, the police in New Delhi decided to stop the protest which took place in Shaheen bagh. The protest was against the New citizenship law and is considered as the longest protest. This protest comes to an end in order to avoid public gatherings.
Many Muslim women protested against the citizenship law since December 2019 and continued to do so to express that they are against such law.
This act is a sign of discrimination against Muslims in India and women continued to protest against such discrimination.
The Delhi riots which took place in Northeast Delhi which is considered as the worst riots in India was against the Muslims who protested against the Citizenship law. More than 78 people have been killed in these riots.
Police commissioner DC Srivastava said that due to Coronavirus the people are not allowed to gather. As the Environment is dangerous the police urged people to leave the place.
The tents and billboards which were built in shaheen bagh during a protest were all taken down by bulldozers. However, the Hindu Nationalist party named as Bharatiya Janta party said that there is no discrimination against Muslims in India.
The entire nation has been lock down to avoid the spread of Coronavirus. First it was announced that it will be lockdown till 31st March but then it has been extended to 21 days.
Police in different states of India can be seen taking strict action against those who are coming out of their houses. Saudi Arabia too has lockdown for 21 days.
