Greek border Open for 18000 Syrian refugees for the first time and will be kept open – Reccip Tayyip Erdogan

In 2016 there was a deal that stated that Turkey will stop the increase of refugees to Europe in return for financial aid. But it had protested that the European Union failed to honor the agreement. Turkey is already home to 3.6 Million refugees and fears that more people might arrive in the country. As there are 4 crossing points from which refugees in turkey can enter into Europe, Bulgaria and Greece are the to points along with the others through which a large number of refugees are seen entering the continent.

Erdogan speaks for the first time when 33 Turkish Soldiers were killed in an airstrike in northwest Syria on Thursday. Due to this, the officials declared that they will not hold back Refugees who want to enter Europe. Greece had a tense relation with Turkey repeated that it would keep migrants out and “ the government will do whatever it takes to protect its borders” said Greek government spokesman Stelios Petsas.
Greek police fire teargas at the migrants who were trying to cross the borders. The Turkish president has promised to keep the Borders open for Refugees from Syria who are heading towards Europe. Reports claim that 18000 refugees have crossed the borders and it can reach 30000 on Saturday.
Greek made an announcement that they will send police and army near its borders and 52 coast guards and navy vessels were watching over the area. A 17-year-old named Ali Nikhad said that they learned that the border was open but when they went there it was closed, they saw a fence and went through it and crossed the border. Many refugees who were seen to have crossed the border were arrested and taken in a white van.
Greek Prime Minister said that He wants to be clear about it that no Illegal entries will be tolerated into Greece. Women and children were seen crying as tear gas was used by the police.
